Venue: Izod Arena
Location: E Rutherford, NJ

[Part 15] - Insulting Confidence

[An airy voice is heard in dark.]

Mike Sloan: Matt, it has been a long while since we have faced each other, face to face.

[It’s the Dark Horse.]

Mike Sloan: Matt, it has been a long while since I have held any gold or placed any around my waist.

[A smile.]

Mike Sloan: Matt, the time is now. The Regional Title is the one that is going to be the first BACW title that will be placed around my waist.

[The pop is heard.]

Mike Sloan: Matt, it was a short stint as the Regional Champion. You are the only person I know that has a problem with holding onto gold. You’re the champ for a month and then you have to lose it to me.”

[His smile remains.]

Mike Sloan: Matt, just remember, you are the greatest transitional champ I have ever met.

[F2B and reform]

[Part 16] - Northeastern Regional Championship

Matt McClain
Vs.
Mike Sloan

[Ding! Ding! Ding!]

Michael Stuffher: Ladies and gentlemen, this next bout is for BACW's Northeastern regional championship!

Crowed: [POP!]

Stuffher: Introducing first, the challenger... Wrestling fans, about to enter the arena, he stands over 6 feet tall and adds 4 inches to his size... You all know him as Mike Sloan!

Crowd: [POP!]

[Cue the music.]

This is because of what you did to me....

[The airy, hollow voice penetrates the p.a. system.]

This is what I become.....

[The voice is close to being recognizable, but at the same time it is unknown to us.]

My pain will become yours.....

[A dark figure is produced on the screen. Bright white lights flash behind him, illuminating his figure. And the first bass and acoustic riff begins to sound out.]

#You take a mortal man, #

[His blond hair on top is only a fraction of an inch long. You can see the places where he has been scared from multiple battles in his life.]

#And put him in control #

[His head begins to lift, so slightly that the only thing that is produced in the time is the top of a spike that comes from his eyebrow.]

#Watch him become a god,#

[A scar runs from his forehead lateral to his left ear It is so slight, because of the time and money that was spent to reduce the size.]

#Watch peoples heads a'roll #

[The first thing that is recognizable, the blue eyes. They hold more emotion than the face itself. They were once caring, but something has taken all that away. They are full of disdain and contempt now.]

#A'roll...#

[The spot lights area towards the entrance ramp. The crowd jumps to its feet to see him again. The chorus hits the PA system and about that time a stray light catches a glimpse of the man we once knew far away from the ring, in the crowd. Standing like a monster, scared of nothing, he makes his movements to the ring.]

#Just like the Pied Piper Led rats through the streets We dance like marionettes, Swaying to the Symphony... Of Destruction #

[His attire features two new things. He has donned a black shirt that states, in red lettering, Respect is not earned; it's taken. The second item is a pair of thigh length, spandex shorts. Across the back it states, T D H. Down his left thigh the word that is stated is Scorned. Down his right thigh is the word, Disrespected;. A black towel covers his head so that no one can know who this is, if the piercing and the eyes didn't tell you who it was then you will have to wait.]

#Acting like a robot, #

[He makes his way to the ring side area, he places one foot on the step and reaches out his hand and grabs the ring post.]

#Its metal brain corrodes. #

[He pauses for the fans and then makes his way up the steps.]

#You try to take its pulse, #

[He walks the outer edge of the ring and places his back against the ropes and waits.] #Before the head explodes. #

[As soon as this line hits his head launches back and the covering it tossed off. Revealing to the world that this man is Mike Sloan. ]

#Explodes... #

[The chorus hits again as he makes his way into the ring.]

#Just like the Pied Piper Led rats through the streets We dance like marionettes, Swaying to the Symphony... Of Destruction #

[He leans over and picks up his towel and hangs it on the far right turnbuckle.]

#The earth starts to rumble

[The red insignia, TDHis embroider into it also.]

#World powers fall#

[He pulls his torso out of the shirt and tosses it to the floor.]

#A'warring for the heavens, #

[He places his back against the corner and stretches his back over the ropes, popping every vertebrate there.]

#A peaceful man stands tall #

[He stands a man with nothing to lose and everything to gain from this point on.]

Promo: One word can describe Mike's relationship with the Crippler...

ED: What's that?

Promo: Distrust.

ED: Would you trust Matt not to cheat?

Promo: Not with Rick Ulfric in the building.

[The lights in the arena shut down, leaving the crowd in the dark, as bright flashes start to burst through out, acting as it were streaks of lighting. Soon, the sound of waves crashing along with the sound of thunder and howling winds fill the arena. They are soon joined by a shrill sound of sirens echoing though out the building.]

#SHUT UP WHEN I’M TALKING TO YOU…SHUT UP….SHUT UP…SHUT UP…SHUT UP WHEN I’M TALKING TO YOU!

[A hush falls over the crowd leaving the arena in total darkness. With out warning, multi-colored lights start exploding through out the arena, and with in a matter of seconds, a massive explosion rips through out the entranceway leaving most of the fans breathless. A wall of fire reaches out to touch the top of the arena as the flames radiate their heat. As the smoke and fire start to clear out, the fans can see that McClain’s tron video has come to life as his theme, a remix of One Step Closer performed by Linkin Park, starts to rip though out the PA system. On the Ovaltron, a golden outline of a flame comes into sight as McClain’s cross slams into the flame as it sounds like steel hitting steel, and is quick to fade to blackness as his name is quick to fade in. Soon it starts to flash across the Ovaltron into various different fonts and colors Behind his name, there are clips of The Submission Specialist winning past titles, making opponents tap with his crippling Breaking Point, climbing to the top rope and hitting the high flying Storm Surge, The Perfect Storm, as well as his Natural Disaster. We catch only a glimpse of him pulling off some of the most unbelievable moves ever seen.]

#EVERYTHING YOU SAY TO ME, BRINGS ME ONE STEP CLOSER TO THE EDGE AND I’M ABOUT TO BREAK…

#I NEED A LITTLE ROOM TO BREAK, BECAUSE I’M ONE STEP CLOSER TO THE EDGE AND I’M ABOUT TO BREAK

#I FIND THE ANSWERS AREN’T SO CLEAR, I WISH I COULD FIND A WAY TO DISSAPPEAR…ALL THESE THOUGHTS THEY MAKE NO SENSE, I FOUND THIS IN INGRONCE, NOTHING SEEMS TO GO AWAY…OVER AND OVER AGAIN… JUST LIKE BEFORE!

[Out of no where, we see a man that appears to be rising up from the floor. Once he has risen like a phoenix from its ashes, McClain looks around the arena as a grin plays across his lips. The fans start to boo at the mere sight of McClain, which is like music to his ears. McClain slowly raises both arms high into the air as the crowd roars with their disapproval. As he makes the slow walk to the ring, the multi-colored lights start to glisten off his skin. He's dressed in a pair of white tights. On his left leg of his tights in a blood red lettering, and outlined in gold is his name, “CRIPPLER”, and on his opposite leg, in the same blood red material and outlined in gold is a modified cross surrounded in flames. His white paten leather boots bare the same cross as his tights in a red paten leather color. We see that his pearl white leather Northeastern Regional title is clasped around his waist as he shows it off with great pride. The golden plates glisten in the sparkling lights. McClain has his wrist and forearms tapped in a heavy black tape. His short bleach blonde hair dangles slightly over his silver-framed Oakley’s, hiding his cold ice-white eyes from the fans behind the shimmering ice iridium lens.]

#EVERYTHING YOU SAY TO ME, BRINGS ME ONE STEP CLOSER TO THE EDGE AND I’M ABOUT TO BREAK…

#I NEED A LITTLE ROOM TO BREAK, BECAUSE I’M ONE STEP CLOSER TO THE EDGE AND I’M ABOUT TO BREAK…

#EVERYTHING YOU SAY TO ME, BRINGS ME ONE STEP CLOSER TO THE EDGE AND I’M ABOUT TO…BREAK!

[As soon as McClain enters the ring, two spotlights bath him as he converges into the center of the ring where McClain appears frozen in place. His chiseled body, still bathed in the pale blue light, is ridged. He soon breaks his stance by jerking up his arms high into the air. The boo’s of the fans give him a sudden rush. With his arms out stretched high into the air, flash bulbs all over the arena pop with a bright white light. It's almost an indescribable feeling coupled with the booing of the fans as the lights in the arena start to slowly come back on.]

#I NEED A LITTLE ROOM TO BREAK, BECAUSE I’M ONE STEP CLOSER TO THE EDGE AND I’M ABOUT TO BREAK…

#I NEED A LITTLE ROOM TO BREAK, BECAUSE I’M ONE STEP CLOSER TO THE EDGE AND I’M ABOUT TO…BREAK!

Crowd: Ass-hole! Ass-hole! Ass-hole!

[Ding!] [Ding!] [Ding!]

Crowd: [BOO!]

Stuffher: And his opponent... Now in the ring, from Houston Texas! He is BACW's Northeastern Region Champion and NWA number one contender for the world title, "The Crippler" Matt McClain!

Crowd: [BOO!]

Fan #1: F-U Crippler!

Fan #2: Kill yourself ass-hole!

Crowd: [BOO!]

ED: As the "boo birds" settle in, what do you think Sloan has to do to win this match tonight?

Promo: For someone so big, Sloan should test the strength of McClain in the early going.

ED: Actually wrestle the Crippler? Now that would be ingenious.

Promo: Well you can't expect McClain to match the power of the Dark Horse, so that seems to be the most logical game plan.

ED: Not to burst your bubble Paul, but that strategy has been proven wrong in other federations. Why would you think McClain couldn't handle Sloan's power?

Promo: That's a great point Eric, but something is going to work and I say Sloan needs to stay away from wrestling McClain in technical manner.

ED: Great comeback! I swear working with you is like clapping with on hand!

Promo: [Ignoring Eric] Fans, the referee has called for the bell, and here we GO!

[McClain charges in and Sloan counters by stepping to the side with an old school hip toss. Pounding the canvas, McClain gets upright and goes full steam ahead for a second time with the result being the same. The crowd immediately starts to get behind Sloan and barreling in for a third go around, Sloan counters McClain's frustration with a leap frog! Off the nylon comes McClain but its Sloan with a follow up running forearm that knocks McClain clean off his feet.]

Mike Sloan: [Motioning with his hands] GET UP!

Crowd: [POP!] Sloan! Sloan! Sloan!

Promo: Ascending the top ropes, Sloan leaps into the air and drops an elbow into the chest of McClain. With Matt gasping for air, Mike hooks the leg of the champion and the referee pounds the canvas for the 1...

Referee: 2...

Crowd: 3...

McClain: [Rolling to his side] NO!

Crowd: [OH!]

Referee: Two! Only Two!

Crowd: [Clapping]

[Pulling Matt from his back, Sloan locks up from behind and arching backwards, compresses the back of McClain's neck into the logo with a perfect German suplex. Textbook side suplex follows and looping the arm, Mike leans back into a slow hanging vertical suplex.]

[THUD!]

Promo: A series of suplexes by the challenger and look out, Sloan's going for the win once again!

ED: Shoulders to the canvas for the 1...

Referee: 2...

Crowd: 3...

McClain: [Pushing out from the bottom] AH!

Crowd: [OH!]

Promo: McClain gets his shoulders up before the count of one and Sloan is going to have to do a lot more than that if he wants to wrestle this title away from the champion.

ED: So much for the power only strategy!

Crowd: [Stomping]

Promo: Pulling McClain off his shoulder blades, Sloan rocks him into the jaw with a hard left! Again! Again!

ED: Hand full of hair and up to his feet!

Promo: Mike Sloan is on fire!

ED: Into the corner with a thud and the champion is indeed in trouble!

[Hard chops rip into McClain's upper body, and tossing Matt into the opposite corner with a thump, Sloan launches himself into the air looking for the high knee!]

[!!THUD!!]

Sloan: UGH!

Crowd: [NO!]

ED: He missed!

Promo: Sloan goes knee first into the corner and limping into the center of the ring, McClain sucks up the fatigue by let's loose a terrifying tilt-o-whirl back breaker!

[CRAAACK!]

Crowd: [OOO!]

Mike Sloan: AGH!

Crowd: Let's go Sloan! Let's go Sloan! Let's go Sloan!

ED: McClain's not going for the cover!

Crowd: You-suck! You-suck! You-suck! You-suck! You-suck! You-suck! You-suck!

Promo: The crowd is really trying to get into the head of the crippler and folks, they might be winning that war! ED: These people have no class!

[Up and hard onto the canvas with a body slam goes the challenger and tossing Sloan over the ropes by the hair, Matt tells the crowd, "NO MORE!"]

Crowd: [BOO!]

McClain: SHUT UP!

Crowd: [Louder BOO!]

Promo: Mike Sloan is holding his shoulder most likely a product of being dumped over the ropes and he better start looking around because the champion is already perched on the ropes!

ED: McClain's looking for something high risk and he better be careful!

Crowd: Jump! Jump! Jump!

[As Sloan stumbles to his feet, McClain rotates off the top ropes into a tumble weed and driving the challenger into railing with reckless abandon, the two collide with a sick sadistic...

[CLANG!]

Crowd: [YEAH!] Holy shit! Holy shit! Holy shit!

Promo: WHAT A MOVE!

ED: This place is going crazy!

Crowd: Bad ASS Wrestling! Bad ASS Wrestling! Bad ASS Wrestling!

Promo: Midway in this match, Mike Sloan has used a large number of suplexes and power moves in an attempt to wear down Matt McClain but the champion appears to have weathered the storm!

ED: In edition to that, stiff kicks and punches added insult to injury but even with all that offense, it's still Matt McClain who's in control; this guy's like a piece of iron!

Promo: McClain limps to his feet first and he's headed over towards the Spanish announcer's!

Crowd: [BOO!]

[Pulling the monitors from their slots and clearing the stacks of notes to the floor, McClain rolls Mike Sloan onto extreme prop as the crowd continues to boo. Slowly getting up onto the apron, and finally arriving at the top turnbuckle, Matt motions to the crowd that he's going to break Sloan in half.]

McClain: IT'S OVER!

Crowd: [LOUDER BOO!]

Promo: Here comes the paaaaaain!

[CA-MOTHER-FUCKING-CRAAACK!]

Sloan: UGH!!!!

[THUD!]

Crowd: [YEAH!] You're hardcore! You're hardcore! You're hardcore!

Promo: OH MY GOD!!!!!!!!!!

ED: Paco and Pablo are furious and someone call 911 because Mike Sloan is lying lifeless in a heap of rubble!

Crowd: You're hardcore! You're hardcore! You're hardcore!

Promo: The crowd is going nuts, and McClain is now dragging the limp Sloan through the debris and back into the ring!

ED: This is where "The Crippler" is the most dangerous! Sloan's rib cage has to be killing him and if the champion is able to lock in his breaking point, there's no way in hell Sloan's going to be able to resist.

Promo: McClain is going for the win! Hooking the leg, here's the cover and the count!

Referee: 1... 2...

Sloan: [Reaching for the ropes] AAAGH!!!

Referee: NO!

Promo: Sloan's in the ropes!

Crowd: [POP!]

McClain: COME ON!

Referee: He had the ropes!

McClain: Get up Sloan!

Promo: McClain is not happy but instead of arguing with the referee like Ace did in the previous match, he's going back on the offensive.

ED: He needs to look for the breaking point while Sloan is having trouble breathing.

Promo: Irish whip into the ropes by McClain but Sloan reverses the hold!

ED: McClain lunges forward countering the counter with a short arm clothesline!

[The challenger ducks the move and the champion comes back with a haymaker from left field! Sloan avoids the impact driving a boot to the stomach, the challenger calls for his Burning Hammer finisher!]

Crowd: [YEAH!]

Promo: McClain is being set up for the Burning Hammer but does Sloan have enough in the tank to set it up?

ED: McClain counters the finisher and he's got the breaking point on!

Sloan: AAARGGHH!!!!

McClain: Come on Mike! TAP! TAP!

Crowd: [BOO!]

Promo: Mike Sloan has never tapped in his 10 years as a professional wrestler but he's dead set in the middle of the ring! I can't see how he's going to survive!

ED: I can hear the ribs of the challenger just about ready to pop and if the champion keeps this up any longer, the challenger's shoulder is going to go POP like the weasel!

Promo: The referee is begging Mike Sloan to submit but something tells me he would rather die than give into McClain's finisher.

Referee: [Imploring Sloan to submit] Just give me the nod and I'll stop the match!

Sloan: [In an incredible amount of pain] Y... Ye... NOOO!!!!!

ED: Mike Sloan is trying to power out of the breaking point cross face!

Crowd: [Stomping]

Promo: No one has ever broken that hold clean!

ED: Sloan has never tapped out! Not in ten years and I don’t expect him to tap now!

Promo: Mike has always found a way to put his mind elsewhere and even turn submissions over and right now, I don't believe it, he's breaking the hold! He's getting to his knees and McClain's grip is slipping from around the challenger's forehead.

Crowd: Let's go Mike! Let's go Mike! Let's go Mike!

McClain: [Shakes his head no trying to disarm the chant] No-no-no-no-no-no-no-no-no!

Promo: Sloan is on all fours...

Crowd: [AWW!]

[Quickly releasing the hold and then driving a knee into the side of Mike Sloan's head, McClain reapplies the breaking point and as Mike's eyes roll into the back of his head, the referee can do nothing but call for the bell.]

Crowd: [BOO!]

[Ding!] [Ding!] [Ding!]

Crowd: [BOO!]

Promo: Oh my, the champion still has the breaking point on and he's refusing to release the hold!

ED: He better break that hold quick! Remember what Mr. Batee said about being disqualified?

Referee: Release that hold! 1... 2... 3...

McClain: ARGH!!!! TAP!!!! TAAAAPPP!!!!! TAAAPPP!!!!

Promo: He can't tap! The man is out cold! The referee's count is at FOUR!

ED: McClain is trying to end Mike Sloan's career!

Crowd: [BOO!]

Referee: FIVE! That's it! Ring the bell! Ring the bell!

[Ding!] [Ding!] [Ding!]

Promo: What the hell is going on, didn't McClain already win?

ED: Even after the match, you are still supposed to listen to the referee.

Crowd: [BOO!]

Promo: The man in stripes is once again talking with the ring announcer and McClain STILL has the breaking point on!

ED: Someone needs to call security!

Crowd: [BOO!]

[Ding!] [Ding!] [Ding!]

Stuffher: Ladies and gentlemen, because Matt McClain has refused to break the hold, the referee has reversed the decision!

Crowd: [POP!]

Stuffher: Because of the hidden stipulation, the referee has no choice but to make your winner of the match, and new BACW Northeastern regional champion - Mike Sloan!

McClain: [Big WTF eyes] WHAAAAT!!!!!!

Crowd: [YEAH!] You f'd up! You f'd up! You f'd up!

[Releasing the hold and bee lining to the cowering referee, the ring announcer bails along with the seconds as an enraged Matt McClain applies his finisher to the man in stripes. Sloan is still face first in the canvas not moving, and McClain releases the hold from the referee. Rolling under the ropes and pushing the camera man off his chair, Matt tosses it over the top ropes and reenters. Slowly walking over towards a fallen Mike Sloan, Matt pick up the chair, raises it over his head, and...]

[WHACK!]

Crowd: [OH!]

Promo: What the hell?

ED: Jeff Harris has hit the ring with a cattle prong and just leveled Matt McClain across the back!

Crowd: Jeff! Jeff! Jeff!

[Pounding and pounding the prong over McClain's now bruised back, Harris holds up the mangled instrument of destruction into the air.]

Crowd: [YEAH!]

[Quivering on the ground is a fallen Matt McClain and picking up the title, Harris drops it onto Sloan where it belongs.]

Crowd: Jeff! Jeff! Jeff!

Promo: Jeff Harris has arrived in BACW and what better way to come into professional wrestling's official stomp hall, than to take out not only its biggest dog, but also the number one contender for the NWA's World Heavyweight championship!

Crowd: [POP!]

ED: Either Harris is that good, or this guy's completely nuts!

Promo: Into the ring come Rick Ulfric to check on his fallen partner and heading up the isle with a smirk on his face is BACW's newest face, Jeff Harris!
